Singer’s favorite parts about general surgery is the range of different disease processes she sees: acute, chronic, benign, and malignant. In addition, she spends 1 day a week in a clinic setting, seeing new and postoperative patients. Her day to day life as a general surgery resident includes in-patient rounding, performing different types of operations, and participating in skills/simulation training. During her surgical rotations she fell in love with the operating room and never looked back. Using surgical procedures, she treats all different types of conditions, ranging from appendicitis to severe trauma. Singer is a fourth year General Surgery resident at The Ohio State University. Upon confirmation of observation experience observers will be required to show proof of 2-Step TB screening within 6 months of experience and proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson.) Applicants are permitted to observe for 30 calendar days within a year.Īpplications can only be processed through an Observation Coordinator. Applicants are required to complete an application, online compliance training, adhere to all health screening requirements and show proof of health care coverage.
